Leverage Board

Your fractional Chief of AI, without the full-time hire.

A Board seat for senior judgment on where AI and technology create leverage across the business you already run. Process first. Systems you own. Control over AI. When judgment says ship, Release Engine is the optional build add-on, not an open retainer.

Vendor AI makes silos smarter. It rarely makes the business more productive.

Most stacks already have tools. Work still falls between them as manual process. Bolting AI into each product enhances isolation. Operators need a judgment layer above the stack, and, when ready, an owned operating layer, not another feature inside someone else’s product.

What you get with a Leverage Board seat

Membership is a seat, not billed hours. Not an open Slack channel. Not monthly theatre meetings.

Leverage Board seat
Fractional Chief of AI judgment: where leverage is, where it isn’t, and ship / don’t ship.
Four touchpoints a year
Three private strategy sessions, plus the Annual Leverage Summit (one day, in person, members only).
Portal office hours
Scheduled slots. You submit questions and issues through the portal for the agenda. Intentional, batched judgment, not always-on chat.
Portal AI advisor
An advisor in your portal, fed on your call transcripts, decisions, and our library. Prep and recall between sessions. It does not make binding ship decisions; those stay human, via office hours or ship-gate.
Library
Playbooks, trainings, and blueprints between sessions.
Ship-gate
A short written or brief review when you want to commit budget or start Release Engine.

Once a year, in the room with peers

One of your four touchpoints is the Annual Leverage Summit: a one-day, members-only session with peer operators, expert speakers, and real stories, facilitated around leverage and stuck interactions. Timings and venue are confirmed for each membership year. Never a public ticket; the Summit is part of the seat.

Member-only add-on

Release Engine: build capacity when the Board says ship

Release Engine is not the Board. It is optional ship capacity for Board members only, when judgment says the next release is worth it. You choose intensity: Steady, Build, or Velocity, against a visible used / left budget. Not token billing. Not an open Slack queue. Speed is valued; rush work uses more of the budget rather than sitting in a longer line.

Steady
Low maintenance / keep-alive on the layer you own.
Build
Active moderate development (the usual pace).
Velocity
High-velocity / bigger project work.

Never sold without an active Leverage Board seat. Ship-gate comes first.

Built for operators who already know the problem

  • Established businesses with named outcomes and stuck interactions between systems
  • Process-first leaders who want technology independence and ownership of IP
  • Teams wary of vendor AI that only makes siloed tools smarter
  • Buyers used to outsourcing specialist capability they do not hold in-house
  • Continuity after a first Interaction Engine release, or judgment while the owned layer is being scoped

Where Leverage Board sits

Most engagements start with a One-Month Interaction Engine Design Sprint, then Impact Build for the first owned release. A Board seat can run through the Impact Build window, then continue as paid membership. If the biggest-impact first release and IT constraints are already clear, some operators go straight to Impact Build with Board included for the build, then decide whether to keep the seat.

What this is not

  • Not monthly hours or staff augmentation
  • Not an open Slack or unlimited chat retainer
  • Not a second Design Sprint
  • Not build-without-strategy (Release Engine never without a Board seat)
  • Not a public conference ticket without a seat
  • Not another vendor AI bolted into a silo
